Robots R Us

Tuesday night I had the honor of being a guest on the TBR podcast. I had a blast and managed to keep from talking over the hosts. No, seriously, I kept my mouth shut unless a question was posed. A total surprise to those of you who know me and my tendency to chatter without thought. It was the end of the show that was a total disaster.

The doorbell triggered a subconscious desire in my mic to become a sentient being. This lovely reaction made me sound, as Jamie put it, like a robot. Unable to talk and fumbling with the mute, I was secretly relieved as Patrick and Michael picked up the slack. This is the one thing I was dreading—besides keeping a lid on talking over everyone—talking about my books and where to find them.

I have a hard time talking about what I do. Yeah, I know, it’s part of the job, get over it. Maybe someday, I’ll be able to separate me from my writer persona. Until then here’s the replay of Tuesday’s show, complete with the divine intervention from a couple of missionaries that sent my mic into AI mode.

Thank you,  Michael, Patrick and Jamie, for inviting me! I apologize for the robotic ending.
